Linear is the fast, opinionated, keyboard-first issue tracker beloved by software teams, with one of the best MCP servers in the ecosystem (built with Anthropic and Cloudflare) and AI agents included. Its limitation is scope: Linear is engineering-centric, its timeline/Gantt and true task dependencies are thin versus a dedicated PM tool, and notifications skew to Slack and dev tooling with no Telegram. ProWoDo brings the same AI-native, opinionated spirit to non-dev teams — agencies, freelancers, business teams — with real dependencies (FS/SS/FF/SF) and auto-scheduling, a Gantt, and multi-channel reminders (push, email, Telegram). Linear wins for pure engineering teams who want speed and polish; ProWoDo wins when a mixed or non-dev team wants AI-native project management with real scheduling.

Is Linear good for non-engineering teams?
Linear is superb — but it's built around software engineering workflows (issues, Cycles, Triage), and its language and structure assume a dev team. For an agency, a marketing team or a freelancer running client projects, that fit weakens. ProWoDo keeps Linear's opinionated, fast, AI-native feel but is designed for general project work.
Linear vs ProWoDo on scheduling and dependencies
Linear's MCP and AI story is excellent, and Cycles cover sprints well. Where it's thin is scheduling: the timeline is a roadmap view rather than a task-level Gantt, and dependencies are relations (blocking/blocked-by) rather than a scheduled engine that shifts dates. ProWoDo has true FS/SS/FF/SF dependencies with auto-scheduling, plus reminders on push, email and Telegram.
Who should choose which?
- Choose Linear if you're a pure software engineering team that values speed, polish and a dev-native workflow.
- Choose ProWoDo if you're an agency, freelancer or mixed team that wants the same AI-native spirit with real scheduling and non-dev fit.
